Bringing People Together to Take Action
Welcome to
North Tyneside Big Local
North Tyneside Big Local is a community-led initiative, bringing people together to take action.
Big Local works with local residents, community groups, businesses and other partners to provide community activities and deliver projects such as those that support the regeneration of the borough or for the benefit of local residents that need additional support. Find out more about us
Whitley Bay Big Local
WBBL is the home of charity organisation, North Tyneside Big Local. The hub offers a friendly community cafe with an enclosed garden and family play space; a surplus shop with discounted produce and essentials; spaces to hire and exciting projects to get involved with. Pop in to see us!
Repair Communities
Engaging communities through reusing and repair is a key part of NTBL's strategy. Renew North Tyneside is our new hub at Royal Quays. This will be the centre for all things reuse and repair, but we hope to deliver repair activities in other venues around North Tyneside in the near future.
VOLUNTEER WITH US
North Tyneside Big Local is a voluntary service organisation. We are a made up of a small team of workers supported by over 50 regular volunteers. We are always on the look-out for new volunteers. Could you spare any time to support our work in the community? As a charity, we rely on volunteers to help run our activities, support the cafe team, run the community shop and so much more! All experience levels are welcome and it's a great way to learn new skills and meet more of your community
