Community Cafe & Garden

The Big Local hub offers a friendly community cafe with an enclosed garden and family play space. We offer a seasonal, homemade menu with brunch/lunch options, cakes, barista quality coffee, specialty teas and cold drinks.  Monday - Saturday, 9am - 4pm

Community Shop

Our community shop offers affordable essentials and helps to reduce food waste. It's open 10am - 4pm, Mon - Fri. You need to be a member to shop, but membership is open to everyone and you get 15% off hot drinks in the cafe!

Room Hire

We have a number of rooms that can be hired for activities, events, workshops, exhibitions, socials, meetings or classes.
The ground floor hub is also available for exclusive hire for parties, music events and gatherings. Get in touch to find out more and book your function today!

Co-Working Spaces

Whitley Bay Big Local offers a dynamic co-working space designed to meet the needs of freelancers, entrepreneurs, and professionals seeking a vibrant, collaborative environment. Open to rent a table on an hourly, half-day, full-day or monthly basis.
